New Deliveries – New Reasons to Fall in Love

We’re getting so many fabulous new pieces delivered every other day at the moment, it’s hard to know which trend to follow first.

At Amersham, accessories are the big news this week. There are some fabulous pieces from the SS12 Marc by Marc Jacobs footwear collection: white pumps, flip-flops or how about a sparkly rose-gold peep toe shoe? Of course, you can’t think about new shoes without thinking about new bags – the question is do you go for something that’s effortlessly cool but casual from Belstaff, such as the Tessa in tan or grey leather, or do you go for a seriously smart piece of arm candy from Diane Von Furstenburg such as the colour block Harper in red, white and black or the mini Harper in Chalk Python? Decisions, decisions.

If accessories have got you in a bit of a spin, why not settle on one of the latest trophy jackets from High, namely ‘Theatre’, which comes in a beautiful peach shade, or ‘Kindly’ in tailored stripes. Or it could be back to the Belstaff collection for one of their ever-covetable jackets. Whatever you chose, the lovely girls at Amersham will make sure you leave with the right choice.

Elsewhere, the keyword is ‘more’. At the Cambridge store there’s more Michael Kors – some fabulous summer dresses in the hottest prints – more Alice by Temperley – dresses and blouses in lightweight cotton that don’t take up any room in a suitcase – and more DKNY in the shape of flip-flops in the classic signature print and some pumps in a mouthwatering Clementine colour.

We’re keeping it bright at our Barnes store too, with some gorgeous tops from Duffy, simple classics in citron and coral as well as some fabulous exotic bird tees and jumpers from Marcus Lupfer.

Whatever else happens, one thing is for sure – this summer won’t be boring!

More news soon!

Kick off Spring / Summer 2012 in style with Chatterton's!

Many exciting things are happening at Chatterton’s to kick off Spring/Summer 2012. New collections are already appearing across all our 5 stores: lots of luscious DKNY, Marc by Marc Jacobs, High, Wildfox, 120% - and that’s just for starters.

This week, at Chatterton’s in Cambridge, we got a fab first delivery from European Culture featuring easy-to-wear yet luxurious, instant classics from the label in this season’s icy pastel palette colours. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, a box of super-summery scarves and ponchos from Missoni turned up shortly after. It all makes winter just that bit harder to bear - the instant cure is to start creating your SS12 wardrobe now in anticipation of a great summer!

STOP PRESS.... Diane Von Furstenberg and European Culture has
also just arrived at Old Amersham!

Also, the news from our flagship store in Old Amersham is that Chatterton’s will be taking part in a Designer Show to take place at Lancaster Jaguar, London Road on Thursday 22 March at 7:30pm. It’s going to be a fantastic evening featuring a fashion show, live jazz, champagne and canapés, goodie bags and a prize draw – and it’s all for a good cause too, as it’s in aid of Scannappeal, a charity which is hoping to raise funds for two mobile breast screening units based in the local community. Tickets are £30 (ring 01494 734161 or go to www.scannappeal.org.uk/events). Book soon and join in the fun!

But the action doesn’t stop there – our Woodbridge Store is also taking part in a fashion show at Woodbridge School, Hasketon Road on 8 March. The catwalk will feature Spring/Summer 2012 collections from local boutiques in aid of the Hunger Project. Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for pupils. Call 01394 615015 for more details.

Of course the other exciting news at Chatterton’s is the redesign of the website and the fact that you will soon be able to buy online – perfect if you’ve only got a five minute lunch window but are in desperate need of a fashion fix!

Bye for now!
